Numero Quattro of the 10 Day Blog Challenge has me finding my superpowers, ironically the same day that my husband suggested that we go as Superman, Wonder Woman, and miniature Batman for Halloween this year. I’m not talking about my ability to burn dinner in a single bound, or hit a curb every time I pull into my subdivision, as if I’m legally blind. A “superpower” in this sense of the word is something we are good at AND enjoy doing. Do you know how hard it can be to take a look at yourself and say out loud, “I’m really good at XYZ and I enjoy it completely!” I think we assume we know what our strengths are, usually it has to do with what our current line of work is and whether we are fired or promoted in doing that particular thing. It doesn’t mean we enjoy it, though.
So, I know this is intended to be a travel blog, but part of this 10 day blog challenge is following the directions set forth by this kiwi called Natalie every day. You can read more about it by clicking the link at the bottom of this page. I stumbled upon the challenge at the perfect time, and so far it’s been right in line with certain goals for the future.
You guys, I recently make a big mistake. HUGE. I stepped in it big time.
I recently read this awesome book, Be a Free Range Human, and it was one of the best books I have read in a long time. Hint: You’re going to be hearing about this book a lot, if you stick around long enough here.
I’ve been wanting to start a travel blog for so long now, and the only thing holding me back (besides procrastination, nagging self-doubts, fear of success, time, hangovers, having a baby, you get the point) was the number of travel blogs already out there. So dumb, yet I am beginning to realize this is really common.
